i have a suspicion that my week numbers are off - but i haven't had a chance to count through and double check. so i'm going to roll with it for now. ;) at any rate, i've got 2 more weeks to share with you today!
week 40 // october 1st - 7th : busy busy busy. preschool open house. 2 field trips (sam and ben). a sick day (ben). tree climbing (alex). a cast came off, some iphones were ordered. i used an american crafts 10x12in divided page protector to fit in some extra photos. i mixed a lot of tags and journaling spots from elle's studio this week - i stocked up on a few things that i thought would be a good match for my album after chatting with elle on twitter a couple weeks ago.
i'm loving the new october afternoon flower sacks. there's part of me that's all - i could punch shapes like that! - but it's so easy to just grab a diecut shape and add it, plus the patterns are scaled down so they don't overwhelm the shape. (the heart, the best friends banner and the pinked circle are all from the sidewalks flower sack).
the elle's studio 4x6 journaling cards are fabulous when you're feeling long winded. ;) and i obviously was! i was going to break up the journaling and put it with the phone pics, but this seemed like a better way to organize the page.
i thought the studio calico veneer house was a perfect accent with the paint chip.
i picked up a lily bee memorandum 6x6 pad when they were on sale at 2peas - the patterns are perfect for journaling. both of the boys came home friday saying it was the best school day ever, so i asked them to write about it. the photos of the book cover and the phones are screen shots.
the october afternoon journaling cards are a perfect fit alongside a photo in the 4x6 slots. they're a smidge too tall for the journaling card slots, but i plan on trimming them down to use there. i seem to struggle with having enough 4x6 photos for my week, so i love having extra ways easily fill those slots.
this week, i put a journaling card on the fridge and every time someone got an apple, they put the sticker on it. love.
week 27 // july 2nd-8th : home run derby. fourth of july. fireworks. family in town. errands and menu origami.
i wanted to keep it simple + fast for this week, so i used mostly goods in my project life drawer (will share more on that soon!). i added 3 rolls of washi tape, the kraft star stickers and the alphabet and worked at the dining room table because my desk was a mess.
minor digi skills here - i made this journaling card using elements from paislee press's photobooth kit.
i have to thank my blog + the notes i jotted down for making filling in this week so easy... i would have been lost without that.
