52 weeks

i've gotten way behind in sharing these - still plugging away at this project. not every week, but doing my best get an overview of what's going on around here. i'm reminding myself that it doesn't have to be perfect to tell the story that i'm looking for.

i've got the technique challenge over at two peas this week - you can find more info about how to play along here. my challenge is to stitch a shape - i went with a funky zig zag. and have gotten so addicted to doing this that i've done it on a few more pages. love the look. i used lots of my favorite new releases on this page - sass starters, crate toy box & some studio calico.

happy friday! i'd be happier if my view didn't include all that white, but what can you do? at least it will be gone by next week.

52 weeks

fabric + frame = memo board. more on this soon.

mme fine and dandy. studio calico state fair. new jenni bowlin. starting to sort and clean up. looking for a clean slate.

all three in school. mama = working + watching hgtv. why is that top door on the shelf always open?

one at school. one sick. one still in pjs because it was a crazy morning. one kitty. one light saber. and a print from sam's room sitting on the stairs - i just fixed the frame and it needs to go back up.

 

more 52 weeks

and now, some desk pictures. thought i have to leave off the last one for now - it shows one of the gifts i made for our exchange and all of the exchanging isn't done yet. ;) it would seem that i haven't been keeping this one up well. it's not for lack of USING the desk, really - i think the opposite has been the problem. i've been a bit buried lately, and it doesn't occur to me to stop and get a pic!

taken after finishing CHA work, sc kit work, a page for 2peas and four pages for a book. it.was.a.MESS. i spy cloud punches, jbs ink, and a lot of mister huey bottles.

(insert clean desk pic here, because i cleaned it ALL THE WAY UP when i got home. go me. you'll have to take my word for it, though, because it didn't last long)

i spy new sc veneer. vintage paper goods - my vday gift from matthew. an old pic of my grandpa that i scrapped for an assignment. my ac dots runner. and emergency chocolate.

i've also got some tags to share. i think making tags is my favorite part of gift wrapping. these were fairly simple - just fabric scraps stitched into letters - but i love how they turned out.

i attached them to the gifts w/ a bit of AC mixtape, and then added a button. super easy. and too cute. =)

one more thing before i scoot out of here and put in some scrap time - 2peas is having an online crop mar 11-13th! there's more info here - i'll be hosting a chat the morning of the 12th. =) hope to see some of you there!

52 weeks

i'm loving the stories these photos tell. i'm just updating the living room shots since i'm so far behind...  i still need to go through and find the desk shots in my files. this is going to be more like a 40ish week project - i've already missed a couple. oh well. 

 

off school. popcorn. mythbusters. laundry baskets.

a hug. abandoned socks. i really need to switch out the boys' portraits for something more current.

2 reading, 1 watching tv. love alex's feet. more laundry. don't love that.

newspaper. smashed paper airplane. everyone outside. i so want to ditch the matchy ottoman and get something else but i haven't decided what.

light saber. spinning boys. pillows in strange places. story of my life.

i've also got a couple of into the woods sneaks...  i'll have more later this week. i'm clearing off my desk and spending time with it today. =)

happy tuesday! my bigs are off but sam is not, so we're keeping an odd schedule. i keep looking at the clock because i'm terrified i will space off sam's pickup time. ;) hope you have a good one!

 

52 weeks

two locations. a shot a week, for 52 weeks. i'm looking forward to the stories they will tell.

first, the living room. i'm aiming for weekend shots with these, since all three are around.

and my desk. i love the messes on my desk, i love how they change with what i'm working on.

(cleaning in progress. remains of who's who & an assignment for bhg. i spy elementary and basic grey oliver. and i love my tape man.)
