i finally buckled down and got rolling on PL 2013. and with four weeks done, i'm only five weeks behind as of tomorrow. ummmm.. i think i'd better get busy. ;)
weeks 1 & 2 - january 1-11 2013 // kits used - neverland card kit
i was sparse on photos from the first two weeks of 2013 - and my first week was super short since i document saturday - friday. i opted to combine them into one spread.
for this spread, i used just the card kit and the printable labels. i love the smaller scale papers in the 6x6 pad - they're a perfect fit for PL! i have a PDF on the SC blog with more tips and ideas for using the card kit for PL.
i was all set to actually do 2013 in order (novel!), and then i realized that i was out of town for part of week 2, and would need photos from matthew's phone to supplement mine. only he was at work. so i went on to plan b and skipped to week 3. =)
i really love that this month's PL kit has a lot of texture - badges, enamel dots, diecut cards and washi tape - while still sticking with items that aren't too bulky. it made it super easy to pull my week together quickly while feeling that i added enough interest.
for my third spread with Neverland, i mixed everything together and had a great big free for all. =) this is my favorite way to PL - i love having lots of goodies to choose from!
we took on a lift challenge this month- we were supposed to be inspired by the person after us in the creative team gallery. after peeking in maggie's PL galleries, i lifted a couple of elements. the first is the vellum bag (i used one that some tags had come in) with sequins under my ice skating photos - it was perfect for the magical feel of that night. the second was a handdrawn border on either side of my journaling on my snow day photo. thanks for the inspo, maggie!
