studio calico's neverland kits went up for subscriber presale at noon.... and it was a bit fast and furious. all of the add-ons sold out in fairly short order, and i'd be willing to bet it will be the same at reveal. if there's one you have your eye on for the midnight reveal, be there early and ready to pounce.
sc has switched things up so that the creative team galleries go live at noon instead of midnight - LOVE THAT. i know a lot of people waited till the next morning to check out the projects since the aren't nightowls (i am TOTALLY in that group), so i think having them up early will be nice. and that means that i can share my projects now. =)
i will be linking up the kits that i've used - but if you're not a subscriber, these links will show an error until midnight EST. i'm sharing my layouts in this post, and will share my PL spreads tomorrow (but you can see them here if you like!).

let's talk about the mini mist in neverland. skyscraper is THE PERFECT gray. not too dark, not too light, not to brown, not to blue. perfect.
i layered some of the tim & beck paper along the side of my background, and then positioned the mask from the kit over it. i misted it a few times with my mist about 6in away, so i had a lot of control over where it went and it didn't cover my whole background. then i matted my photo with some of the maggie holmes paper and added a few bits and pieces tucked under it.
i stamped the banner with gold ink, then added one of the sentiments inside in gray. i love how these stamps layer together!

the diecut "make today awesome" veneer card was one of my favorite pieces in the kits this month. i was having trouble making it work since it was too similar in size to my photo, so i finally opted to cut it down. i just used my paper trimmer - i love that these cards are thin enough for that to work! then i backed it with some patterned paper, added a vellum arrow and stitched it in place. (ps : i wish this photo had sound. just looking at it makes me giggle because i remember how much he was laughing!)

these are my very favorite photos from christmas, and i'm glad to have them on a page. i suppose this is a rather untraditional christmas page, as there's no holiday product - but that's how i generally roll. =)
i stamped the love you to the moon image from lost boys with stazon ink on a card from the "more grid cards" PL add-on, and then colored it in with lyra watercolor crayons. i'm absolutely in love with these, and having so much fun experimenting with them! once you color the image, you got over it with a wet paintbrush to blend the colors. there's a lot more control than with traditional watercolors, so i'm able to get a much higher quality image with them. here's a peek at the before and after.
i misted on the background using the mask and mini mist from neverland, and then lined up my photos and watercolored card across the middle of the layout. i slightly staggered them so the page would be a bit more dynamic, and then added my title, journaling and embellishments.

we did a fun little challenge this month where we lifted the designer listed after us on the creative team gallery page. which meant i got to lift the talented maggie holmes! after pouring over her front row gallery, i settled on this page : antiques.
i was drawn to the way her photo and embellishments were all grouped together on a mat, and the way the patterned paper was layered under her photos. i brought both of those ideas on to my page. while our embellishments are quite different, i loved using her page as a starting point and found that i managed to finish mine in record time!
happy wednesday! i've been working like a madwoman today - feeling the effects of february not having enough days. i'm happy to say there are lots of checkmarks on the list, even if i never managed to do my hair beyond putting it in a messy ponytail. ;) some days are just like that!
