today has been gray, snowy and unusually quiet for a day with three boys home - it seemed perfect for a little creative play. i picked up these lyra watercolor crayons after seeing tina post about them. these are my first experiments with them - i stamped these fab stamps from the lost boys addon in stazon, and then started coloring. i'm in love. they offer a smoother color & blend better than watercolor pencils, but you get way more control than with traditional watercolors. i'm looking forward to seeing what all i can do with them.
there is something to be said for experimenting without much thought to the final outcome. and i think i needed that this morning.
