last week, i spent a few days in anaheim with studio calico for CHA. the weather sucked (record lows, seriously?!?), but the company was good. =) so much of my communication with the people i work with is to the point emails, so it's always nice to get to sit and talk. and brainstorm. and plan. i spent the flight home jotting down all of the things that were floating around my head, and i can't wait to see what they all become.
i spent the days walking the show, helping to scout for new products to use in SC kits. by the end of the show, i was feeling pretty familiar with the releases. here are a few of my favorites :
basic grey hipster & bow ties : i have never really been a BG girl, but these releases have converted me. i'm also dying over their upcoming releases for joann's. they are bright, graphic and just a little bit funky. perfect.
elle's studio : i love elle's products for PL, and her new releases rock. her booth was amazing - filled from floor to ceiling with inspiration layouts.
amy tan's yes, please : i think each one of amy's releases has been a new favorite for me - her design style and my scrapbook style are a good match. i can't wait to use this one!
studio calico here & there : yes, i work for them. they'd still be a top pick even if i didn't. ;)
i also got to spend some time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. there's nothing like geeking out over paper + glue with other people who GET IT.
there's also nothing like coming home. i am totally a homebody and was MORE than ready to get on that airplane and head back to reality. there's nothing like being away for a couple days to remind you just how good you have it.
