it's that time again - the new studio calico kit is live! GLEE CLUB has a fun mix of just released goodies and oodles of exclusive items (like that woodgrain alpha, be still my heart). i picked up all 4 add-ons this month but DEBATE TEAM was my favorite.
this page uses just GLEE CLUB. but if you can, grab more patterned paper because you'll want a second sheet of that yellow chevron! as i mentioned before, i ended up cutting out the bits behind my photos so i could use it on other projects. and am now on the hunt for another sheet. i used 3 of my favorites from the exclusives on this page - borders from the sassafras sticker sheet, the woodgrain alpha & the blue SC paper.

i am terrible about scrapping halloween - a quick glance through my archives seems to say that i haven't in 2 or 3 years. nice. so THESPIANS was a nice little kick in the pants to scrap some of the pics that have acculumated in that time. i may have to make more pages with it. ;) also loving the starry night punch - i scattered the little stars on a couple of my pages, and used the negative punched image on this one. that moon is just too sweet.

i was trading vacation stories with a friend after school one day, and he mentioned how his kids became closer while they were away this summer. i definitely see this with my boys, too. it was a good push to use these photos of them working together on the beach at lake michigan to record those thoughts. i ended up with a lot of white space on this page, but it just felt right. i love how the stripes in the basic grey paper from GLEE CLUB bring all the others colors on the page together.

this photo just makes me happy - and so does this page. i start with this as an inspiration piece - totally in love with the colors and feel. i stamped the birch trees on patterned paper and then cut them out and layered them over the same pp, matching up the design. loving the look.

and a wee little mini. i printed these photos almost a year ago - i had wanted to make a mini with last october's kit, but it never came together. i finally got tired of moving them around everytime i cleaned and commited to actually DOING a book. i'll be posting the completed inside pages + a how to on this mini on monday. =)

just a quick PSA : this amy tangerine sticker book sold out in a FLASH at reveal - SC *will* be restocking it. as soon as there's more info on when that will be, i'll let you know. i used it on many of my projects this month and still have a ton of stickers left that i can't wait to use.
