week 15 // april 10th-16th : with baseball starting, i knew i'd have even less time to work on this than usual. i stole some time friday to print all my pics, then i worked on it in 5 and 10 min stretches during the weekend. one journaling card here, add a label to a photo there. it worked.
lots of washi and mixtape this week. i like to use strips of paper, so the tape is just a faster version of that for me. i just ordered an obscene amount of the hambly washi tape at 2peas and will be using that in future weeks - i'm excited to have a wider selection!
i was a lot more concious about keeping "stuff" this week, because it's an easy way to fill in the blanks. i also used the grid journaling cards rather than the printed ones that came in the kit - i was in the mood to make my own color scheme.
for the "saturday sunday" header, i masked off one of the stamps from ali's ordinary days set. i need a little work on this technique. ;) loved having a place to give a quick rundown of the weekend!
more labels. more tags. more journaling spots. i have a fondness for all of these things, so my stash is plentiful. it's working perfectly to add a little variety to my album.
on this strip of crate toy box build paper, the "3" was next to a "v". i cut an "s" from somewhere else in the paper and layered it over the "v", so now i have sam's age and initial. a perfect way to personalize the paper.
happy thursday!! the sixth graders at our school put together a "jammies for japan" fundraiser - you get a pj day in exchange for a donation. very cool. a & b weren't into me taking a photo until i told them i wanted it for my PL book - then they were okay with it. love that. it's another grey-with-a-chance-of-rain day, so a pj day sounds perfect to me!
ps : i have a BIG you don't wanna miss it giveaway tomorrow..... ;) hope to see you then!
