i know. random, right? 3 weeks done. 5 weeks not. i'm finding my groove, though. i'm finding it works best if i work a week behind. i'm jotting down notes each day in notepad on my phone and sticking printed pics and bits into an 8.5x11in page protector so it's all together when i can get to it. once the week is finished i can roughly arrange everything for the week and then put it together as i find bits of time. i also need to remember that "extra" time to do it is never just going to appear, so i have to just make it happen.
week 3 : jan 16-21st
i pulled in lots of little bits from the february studio calico kit for this week. the bag was right next to the album as i was working on the floor in the mess of my room, so it was easy. ;) i used some of the sc & crate exclusives, and lots of mme fine and dandy.
there was no way i could keep the dates in order and make everything work. oh well. rolling with it. my favorite part of this page is the inside / outside pics from our day at home on mlk jr day.
and on this spread, i'm in love with sam's button art.
week 5 : jan 29-feb 4
this week was a bit of a challenge. i had very few photos, and was dealing with the here / there aspect since i was out of town for half the week. i loved how ali e had captured both home and away when she went on a trip for her week 2, and drew inspiration from that. the top row, aside from ben's note, is my away stuff, and most of the right side of the page is their home stuff. i filled in the missing pics with lots of stuff. love how it came together.
these double sided journaling cards are supposed to fold up and tuck into a pocket, but i've been trying to use them for one special memory / piece of memorabelia each week. this one was recorded by ben. i also printed out a couple of emails that the bigs sent me while i was gone and tucked in with everything else.
the fish card was too perfect for this story. i used lots of sc goodies on these pages - it seemed fitting w/ the cha trip. =)
happy friday!!! i'll be sewing up a storm this weekend - we're having our annual (late) bagel christmas on monday. here's what i made last year - and here's what i received. so looking forward to seeing what these talented women make... and hoping i can pull off my idea! ;) have a good weekend, everyone!
